Documentary By The Man Woman Myth

Thanks to Laura at Full Of Grace, Seasoned With Salt for finding this series of videos on feminism. This one is part three of six. They can all be watched on You Tube. While I don't agree with some of the conspiracy sounding language (click here for an explanation), these clips resonated with me in many ways; like a frog in the pot suddenly feeling some water at a normal temperature for a change and suddenly realizing that the water around him has gotten really really hot. Still, these do not approach the issue from a Christian perspective as much as a materialistic perspective so be warned of some sparse profanity.

Feminism has had an unbelievably far-reaching, destructive effect on western culture. It's refreshing to see that there are those who are willing to say so.

Sadly, even those of us who recognize the damaging influence can't claim to be completely unfazed because "women's liberation" has, through the educational system and media, subtly infected the way even Christians think about marriage, family, and male/female "roles".

I've for some time realized that feminism has had a negative impact on out thinking. I'm amazed at just how much. These videos were real eye openers by pointing out all of the materialistic ramifications of feminism. I shudder to think the spiritual ramifications that we are not even, as you point out, aware of.

These videos are a real breakthrough. I have been meaning to analyze them as well. I believe that the rhetorical and psychological sophistication of their propaganda efforts deserves close study, especially if we ever hope to invent the antidote.

This reminds me of the guy taking an oral test for job as a truck driver who was presented with a hypothetical situation. It went like this: You're heading down a long grade and at the bottom there is a single lane bridge with a another truck jack-knifed across it. You put on your brakes and realize they have failed. Quick! What do you do"

The interviewer/examiner is shocked by his answer when he calmly explains that he would simply wake up his partner, Bob, in the sleeper. When asked why he simply responds "Cause Bob ain't never seen a wreck like we're fixin t'have".

The antidote for bad thinking is reality. There are laws, like the laws of physics, that govern nations. And when those laws are defied long enough, perhaps the only option left is to wake up Bob!
